The series finale of the L Word has aired and my heart has been shattered. There's no doubt that some of the story lines were a little far fetched as the seasons went on, but nevertheless I loved all the characters immensely.
I know some people hated the series finale and I understand why, but I don't think it was that bad. I understood the creative process that might have led the show to end the way it did. Jenny came in and started the show, and now she too ended it. I've always loved Jenny Schechter. She was a misunderstood character who was the foundation upon which the show was built. So, hate her all you want, but without her there would be no L Word.
I'll miss the show and its quirky hilarious one line zingers. I'll miss watching the characters and the actors who played them on screen. I'll miss being obsessed with the show and wondering what kind of crazy will Ilene Chaiken was going to give us this week. I'll miss it flawed and all.
